Summary

These seven short videos are the children and young people’s friendly version of our report, “This is our lives, it matters a lot.” They share what children and young people across Scotland told the Commissioner about their current experiences of education – and what needs to change. The videos highlight urgent recommendations to put children’s rights at the heart of the education system, including better support for those with additional needs, fairer access to subject choices, and a national online learning offer. They call for fundamental reform that focuses on each child’s potential – not just exam results – and urge decision-makers to listen to children and act now.
