Gina Wilson, Head of Strategy, said: “Young people have the right to participate in decisions that affect them, and exam results very much do. Exam results can expand or limit a young person’s opportunities to work and to access further and higher education choices.”
“The appeals process must be one that is fair and respects children’s human rights, that means it needs to maintain the direct right of appeal for individuals, as well as be free to access to prevent creating barriers. Young people are active rights-holders and should be involved in designing any changes to the appeals process.”
