What do you like about yourself?

We’re happy to join Children’s Health Scotland for #BeFriendly Friday as part of #ScottishChildrensHealthWeek! We created Today’s special activity, “Let’s celebrate all the wonderful things that make you, you’ as it is a fantastic opportunity to focus on self-appreciation and kindness. This can help with creating good mental health, which is a human right for all children.
Think about three things you like about yourself — these can be small, everyday things or bigger, more significant qualities. You can say them out loud, draw them, or write them down — whatever feels most comfortable for you. This exercise is a wonderful way to practice self-kindness and boost your mood.
Scottish Children’s Health Week, which runs in the first week of September every year, is dedicated to highlighting the health and well-being of children and young people, and their right to the best possible health.
Our activity is part of the 2024 Activity Book, a vibrant 24-page resource packed with engaging activities for the whole week.
Need a little inspiration? Watch our video featuring some of our team sharing the things they like about themselves. It’s a great way to see how others celebrate their unique qualities and to get inspired to celebrate your own!
